There is a crispness in the air, sometime within the next few weeks the wood burner will be lit for the first time since early Spring, Rachel is online searching for (super easy!) homemade soup recipes and our thoughts turn to those household jobs we somehow just didn’t get around to completing (or even starting) while we were enjoying our sun drenched garden and a cheeky gin and elderflower tonic. 

For us, even 20 plus years after leaving full time education, September still has something of the ‘new term, new start’ feel about it all and now our son is actually starting a new term at school it gives us a timely reminder to get back to work in our Somerset workshop.; after all, our new bedroom furniture designs, like our chest of drawers, aren’t going to craft themselves.

Autumn is a great time for some de-cluttering and re-organisation;

We do have many jobs at home that also need attention, though; for instance, our attic bedroom badly needs some tidying and organisation. Piles of clothes, awesome hats, unsuitable but gorgeous shoes, dusty leather bags; all lying about discarded and seemingly unloved.
