We’ve got one of our gorgeous handmade garden benches in our revamped garden, the perfect spot for cosy morning coffee breaks and lazy sunny afternoons.
Comfortable seating is vital if you are to really enjoy time in your garden and our traditional sturdy and stylish garden bench seat has been handcrafted by Marc and our talented small team.
In our Somerset workshop, we work with a mixture of reclaimed wood and sustainable natural timbers; we use traditionally joinery technique and source locally wherever possible.
Marc was inspired to design our elegant garden bench seat by our local 18th century farmhouses with their aged curved timber window frames and oversized fireplaces.
The extra wide arm rest is perfect for small plates, glasses and cups; with our country garden bench you are never very far from your (G &) tea! Our stylish slatted rustic garden bench can be made to any seat height or width, just ask.
Britain has more gardens open for visitors than anywhere else the world, and in South Somerset you can well believe it because we are spoiled for choice with many gorgeous large gardens really close by; from the intimate National Trust Lytes Carey to the privately owned modern art gallery and vast gardens at Hestercombe.
These local outdoor spaces are perfect for planting inspiration, the Wood family love spending time in our Somerset country garden and we have been working really hard on revamping the space over the past few summers.
Turning it from a rather odd outdoor space with minimal growing room, to a compact but abundant home for a variety of plants, birds and bees.
We are fortunate to know several keen amateur gardeners who are on hand for advice and plant-chat, we also often refer to our local gardening magazine, now available online ‘Country Gardener’ is filled with inspirational photos, features and tips to get the best out of your garden, geared towards the South West of England, we find the local events and seasonal planting guides especially helpful.
Our relaxing courtyard space
To make the most of our small walled garden we have a small ceramic waterfall, which is placed against the climbing hydrangea in a partly shaded corner, we love the calming sound of the flowing water and the tiered blue ceramic bowls spilling their cooling water into the dappled sunshine remind us of our trips to the large public fountains of the beautiful parks of Seville in southern Spain.

Our handcrafted kitchen furniture includes cabinets & storage islands for practical, stylish cookery & display spaces; be inspired by our update of the classic West Country farmhouse kitchen!
Carefully designed by Marc and handcrafted from a mixture of reclaimed wood and sustainable timbers by Marc and our talented small team in our rural Somerset workshop, our modern rustic kitchen furniture encompasses compact wall cabinets, extra large tables and granite worktop island trolleys.
Our kitchen furniture is handcrafted from real, natural wood and is a design fusion of traditional rustic farmhouse style and a more contemporary sleekly modernist design.
We love the classic angular ‘dovetail’ joint, which works as both as a durable jointing technique and a quirky decoration for our cabinet doors.
The subtly curved corners of our wooden and glass fronted cabinets combine with our signature ‘hidden’ integrated wooden handles to offer stylish modernist simplicity with the mellow informality of natural wood.
